Certifying as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), I became privy to the numerous Ponzi schemes across the world. It’s disheartening how the human greed and at times helplessness is exploited by a few clever individuals for personal gain. As a CFE, I was brought time and again to the awareness of such schemes unearthed across the world only after many innocent ones lost their life savings or worse, fallen into debt, lured by unrealistic promises of quick financial returns. Yet, blinded by our desire for short-term gains, we fail to recognize the risks.
 
Now in India, this trend persists as more people engage in trading with hopes of quick profits, often without investing in the necessary knowledge of how markets work or what influences them. This lack of understanding leads to irrational decisions. While seeking good returns is natural, starting with the right mindset is crucial; otherwise, it resembles gambling – addictive and detrimental when losses occur, prompting a cycle of irrational behaviour.
 
Life experiences like these instilled in me a deep desire to empower people with the knowledge and influence their mindsets to approach financial growth logically and responsibly. TBGFL – my initiative – is aimed at contributing positively to the lives of others.
